Change Log

Patch 1.2.0

  • Buff: increased the Cool-down Time reduction for missed attacks from 3/6/9 % to 16/22/30 %.
  • Buff: increased the Cool-down Time reduction for successful attacks from 2/4/6 % to 10/16/22 %.

Patch 1.4.0

  • Buff: further increased the Cool-down Time reduction for missed attacks from 16/22/30 % to 20/25/30 %.
  • Nerf: no longer affects successful attacks.
    • This nerf was motivated by the excessive use of the so-called "Machine Gun Combo" amongst Killer Players since the introduction of Save the Best for LastIconPerks saveTheBestForLast.pngIconPerks saveTheBestForLast.pngIconPerks saveTheBestForLast.png.
Since both Perks had complementary effects, stacking them together reduced the Cool-down Time of Basic Attacks to problematic levels.

Trivia

  • Unrelenting applies its effect only to missed Basic Attacks.
    • Basic Attacks that hit obstacles and objects are considered Obstructed Hits and thus do not benefit from its effect.
    • Special Attacks are never affected by Unrelenting.
  • Despite its icon design clearly showing the Weapon of The Wraith, the Perk was never one of his unique ones and always available to all Killers from the start.
    • The icon can be explained by the fact that in the early days of Dead by Daylight, the Developers often re-used art and iconography of their existing Characters or their alpha models for the icon design of the first General Perks.
