Undetectable

Undetectable is a Status Effect featured in Dead by Daylight that is applied exclusively to Killers.

It was originally introduced in Patch 3.2.0 alongside the release of CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things, with The Demogorgon having been the first Killer to use it.

Mechanic

The Undetectable Status Effect is a buffing effect applied by numerous Unlockables.

Killers benefitting from Undetectable are granted several stealth abilities and generally shielded from the Aura-reading abilities of Survivors.

Undetectable has the following effects:

• Suppresses the Terror Radius
  • It should be noted that if the Killer has a Lullaby, it will not be suppressed and remain unaffected by the Status Effect.
• Suppresses the Red Stain
• Blocks all Aura-reading abilities from Survivors that would normally reveal the Killer.
• Suppresses the Stinger SFX jump-scare that would usually play when a stationary Killer starts moving again.
  
• Enables the smoky-screen VFX that indicates stealth mode to the Killer Player.

The following Unlockables apply the Undetectable Status Effect:

Add-ons

	Adaptive Lighting	The Drone takes account of the surrounding area and casts lights in a bewildering manner that obscures movement. Increases the duration of the Undetectable Status Effect by +20 % to 9.6 seconds.
	Security Guard's Badge	"The badge comes with certain privileges for whoever carries it." Upon exiting a Security Door after teleporting to it, the following effect applies: Extends the duration of the Undetectable Status Effect by +25 % to 25 seconds.
	Aogiri Tree Robe	Garments worn by an anti-human ghoul organisation. Whenever a Generator is completed while in Enraged Mode, you benefit from the following effect: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 20 seconds.
	Bonnie's Guitar Strings	"Worn strings that are off-tune and liable to snap." Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability while moving between Security Doors: The intensity of the Generator Auras reveals their current Repair progress. Upon exiting a Security Door after teleporting to it, the following effect applies: Reduces the duration of the Undetectable Status Effect by -100 % to 0 seconds. This causes the Status Effect to be removed instantly.
	Serotonin Injector	A hormone that slightly relaxes the user for when stealth is required. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 15 seconds, after a Zombie is disintegrated by any means.
	Tablet of the Oppressor	"A metal tablet engraved with Aztec figures." While using Rites of Judgement, the following effect applies: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect.
	Town Watch's Torch	Upon breaching a village, the first thing they would extinguish was the torches, and with them, hope. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect during a Hunt.
	Violet Waxcap	A dark fleshed mushroom from the Upside Down that allows The Demogorgon to telepathically distort the senses in its prey. After traversing the Upside Down, the following effect applies: Extends the Undetectable Status Effect gained after emerging from a Portal by +1 second to 6 seconds.
	Well Water	Water from the well where Sadako was left to die. Murky and black, it obscures everything around it. Increases the duration of the Undetectable Status Effect by +2 seconds after Manifesting by any means.
	"Bad Man's" Last Breath	A powerful last breath snatched from the asylum patient known as the "Bad Man". In the hands of The Nurse, it jolts with intensity. Hitting Survivors with a Special Attack grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 25 seconds. "Bad Man's" Last Breath" has a cool-down of 45 seconds.
	Cat Carrier	Saving the cat is a noble goal. It's also very distracting. Whenever a Remote Flame Turret knocks you out of Crawler Mode, you benefit from the following effect: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 30 seconds.
	Chatterer's Tooth	A fragment from a Cenobite whose mouth chatters endlessly. This tooth, having broken from his jaw, is finally silent. Grants the ability to see the Aura of the Lament Configuration. Picking up the Lament Configuration deactivates an on-going Chain Hunt and grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 25 seconds.
	Dark Sunglasses	Glasses enhanced with AR that grant the wearer an invaluable advantage on the battlefield. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 20 seconds whenever a Survivors reaches Critical Infection.
	Filthy Slippers	Max sometimes struggled to hear his mother's footfalls. Gain the Undetectable Status Effect until you stop sprinting after maintaining a Chainsaw Sprint for at least 2 seconds.
	Pile of Nails	It is a lot easier to stay hidden when your target is worried about a pile of nails flying at their head. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 3 seconds after manually ending Hidey-Ho Mode.
	Tombstone Piece	"A fist-sized granite piece taken from a broken tombstone." Activating Evil Incarnate triggers the following effect: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 20 seconds.
	Vermilion Webcap	A bright red poisonous mushroom from the Upside Down. After traversing the Upside Down, the following effect applies: Extends the Undetectable Status Effect gained after emerging from a Portal by +3 seconds to 8 seconds. 	Vigo's Journal	The journal of a man who claimed to have returned from The Void. The knowledge within has practical applications. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect during a Rush. "In a wasteland of forgotten dreams and endless routine, the man with a way out is God." — Talbot Grimes
	Wooden Fox	Roughly carved, this fox statuette is no more than a few inches. A reminder that stealth and cunning is as effective as raw power. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect after reloading at Lockers for 30 seconds.
	Faz-Coin	"Collecting these tokens comes with a price." Upon throwing the Fire Axe, the following effects are applied: Causes the Fire Axe to emit a copy of your Terror Radius until it is retrieved. This Terror Radius is set to 24 metres. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 10 seconds.
	Hellshire Iron	The Hellshire Gang's branding iron. Despite folklore, it never made its mark on new initiates, instead having been used to brand particularly quarrelsome bounties. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect while a Survivor is speared by The Redeemer. This effect lingers for 10 seconds. "Hellshire Gang: Justice Seekers or Outlaws?" — Glenvale Gazette headline
	Iridescent Feather	A glass-like feather moulded from The Fog itself. Simple as it may be, it is a symbol of those who watch over Carmina. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect when Birds of Torment is on Cool-down and you hold no Dire Crows. Reduces the number of summonable Dire Crows by -1. 	Iridescent Unpublished Manuscript	"Before he disappeared, Adriana's father had started a newer, darker manga: Sonhadores Sombrios." Whenever any Drone enters its Disabled State, you benefit from the following effects: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 15 seconds. 	Iridescent Wheel Handle	Once used to guide a greast vessel across the open seas, its remnants now serve as a memory of times past. Increases the Linger duration of The Dog at the Target Location of the Search Command by +20 %. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect while The Dog fulfils the Search Command. 	Red Moss	A psychedelic moss that grows on tree barks in the Upside Down. After traversing the Upside Down, the following effects apply: Extends the Undetectable Status Effect gained after emerging from a Portal by +8 seconds to 13 seconds. Suppresses all noises related to emerging from a Portal. Increases the time required to emerge from a Portal by +15 %. 	Silencing Cloth	A coarse strip of cloth that a five-year-old Charlotte would put in her mouth. Stopped her from screaming when witch hunters were nearby. 	Beast of Prey	"Your lust for a kill is so intense that your connection withThe Entity is momentarily lost, making you totally unpredictable." Whenever you trigger the Bloodlust Status Effect, Beast of Prey activates for 30/35/40 seconds: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. "Where did she go?"
	Dark Devotion	"The display of your Powers creates a whirlwind of panic that spreads throughout the land." Whenever the Obsession becomes injured by any means, Dark Devotion activates for 35/40/45 seconds: Transfers your Terror Radius to the Obsession. This Terror Radius is set to 40 metres. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. 	Furtive Chase	"You lurk in the shadows, eliminating your victims one by one." After hooking the Obsession, you benefit from the following effects for 14/16/18 seconds: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. Grants a +10 % Haste Status Effect. Whenever the Obsession is unhooked by another Survivor, the Obsession Status transfers to their Rescuer. You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. 	Hex: Overture of Doom	"A hex that plays on the paranoia of others." Creates a Hex Totem that curses the farthest Generator from its location: The Aura of the Cursed Generator is highlighted in yellow. When a Survivor repairs the Cursed Generator for at least 5 seconds, Hex: Overture of Doom triggers the following effects for 20/25/30 seconds: Transfers your Terror Radius to the Cursed Generator. This Terror Radius is set to 32 metres. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. Once the Cursed Generator is repaired, the next farthest Generator becomes cursed. The Hex Effects persist until the Hex Totem is either blessed or cleansed by a Survivor, disabling it for the remainder of the Trial. 	Insidious	Unlocks the stealth ability. After standing still for 3/2/1 second(s), Insidious activates for as long as you remain stationary: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. Insidious deactivates once you start moving again.
	Machine Learning	"Free from your shackles, you are born anew and prepared to eliminate your creators." After performing the Damage Generator action, Machine Learning activates: Causes that Generator to become a Compromised Generator. Damaging another Generator transfers the state to it instead. The Aura of the Compromised Generator is highlighted to you in yellow until it is completed. Once the Compromised Generator is completed, you benefit from the following effects for 40/50/60 seconds: Undetectable Status Effect +8 % Haste Status Effect Machine Learning deactivates after use. 	Tinkerer	Whenever a Generator is repaired to 70 %, you benefit from the following effects: Triggers a Loud Noise Notification for that Generator, revealing its location. Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for the next 12/14/16 seconds. Tinkerer can only trigger once per Generator per Trial. "The Hillbilly makes impressive tools out of scraps. 	Trail of Torment	"You guide your victims along a path of pain and punishment." Performing the Damage Generator action on a Generator activates Trail of Torment: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect. The Aura of the Damaged Generator is revealed to all Survivors and highlighted in yellow. Trail of Torment deactivates after the Damaged Generator stops regressing by any means and has a cool-down of 60/45/30 seconds between activations.
	Unforeseen	"Terror takes many forms and whispers devastating lies in its victims' ears." After performing the Damage Generator action on a Generator, you benefit from the following effects for 22/26/30 seconds: Transfers your Terror Radius to the damaged Generator. 		Team Skill (Silent Strike)	After sending a Survivor to a Cage of Corruption, you benefit from the following primary effect: Grants the Undetectable Status Effect for 60 seconds. Incurs a cool-down of 60 seconds afterwards. While within 32 metres of the other Killer with this Skill on cool-down, you benefit from the following secondary effects: Grants a +5 % Haste Status Effect. Reduces the cool-down duration of this Skill by -25 %. This effect can only be triggered once per active cool-down.
