The Midnight Grove

The Midnight Grove was a Halloween Event in Dead by Daylight that originally took place between 21 October and 4 November 2021, and was extended by a week to 11 November 2021.

It kicked off the in-game celebrations in honour of Halloween 2021.

Overview

The Midnight Grove was a type of Halloween-themed in-game Event, which temporarily added new Objectives to the Gameplay of Killers and Survivors.

As a first for an Event, it opened a unique Tome in the Archives, with special Challenges to complete, unlocking unique Lore entries written by the newly arrived Survivor, Mikaela Reid, herself.

In-Game Changes

• Re-enabled the All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox Med-Kit.
• Re-enabled the Will O' Wisp Flashlight.
• Re-enabled the Broken Bulb Flashlight Add-on.
• Re-enabled the Refined Serum Med-Kit Add-on.
• Re-enabled the Blight Serum Killer Add-on.
• Added a new Offering: Cursed Seed.
• Added a new Prop: Pumpkins.

The Event Items and Add-ons can be found in newly generated Bloodwebs and the former also in Chests located throughout the Trial Grounds.

The Event Offering will increase the amount of Tangled Hooks and Generators that spawn in the Trial Grounds and increase the Bonus Bloodpoints one receives from interacting with them.
Not burning the Offering will still grant Bonus Bloodpoints, but fewer.

The Pumpkins can be stomped on by the Survivors or the Killer, and will grant Bloodpoints and/or a status effect, based on what kind of Pumpkin it was.

Event Add-ons

	THIS ADD-ON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (This Unlockable can no longer be obtained and stockpiles can no longer be used. If it is an Event Unlockable, it may return with its associated Event.) A small amount of Compound Thirty-Four, the final serum The Blight had worked on before his transformation. Causes extreme mutations in high doses. Playing as The Blight, you benefit from the following effect: Grants 1 additional Token towards his Power. Playing as any other Killer, Blighted Serum temporarily replaces your Power with the Blighted Rush ability. Press the Power button to dash forwards at 200 % of your default Movement speed for 2.5 seconds. Start the Trial with 1 Token. Receive 1 Token each time a Survivor is hooked.
	THIS ADD-ON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (This Unlockable can no longer be obtained and stockpiles can no longer be used. If it is an Event Unlockable, it may return with its associated Event.) A damaged bulb that causes a spooky flickering effect. Causes the Flashlight to flicker. Increases the brightness of the Beam by +15 %. Increases the duration of a successful Blind by +30 %. Increases the spookiness. The Broken Bulb is only available during Halloween Events.
	THIS ADD-ON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (This Unlockable can no longer be obtained and stockpiles can no longer be used. If it is an Event Unlockable, it may return with its associated Event.) STOCKPILES MAY STILL BE USED IN TRIALS A refined version of the Putrid Serum that is mostly safe for human consumption. Mostly. Press the Secondary Action button while healing yourself or another Survivor with a Med-Kit to use the Refined Serum to boost the Movement speed of the affected Survivor by +5 % for 16 seconds. Creates a Blight trail behind the affected Survivor. Refined Serum consumes the Med-Kit on use. The Refined Serum is only available during Halloween Events.

Event Offering

THIS OFFERING IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE (This Unlockable can no longer be obtained and stockpiles can no longer be used. If it is an Event Unlockable, it may return with its associated Event.) Calls upon The Entity for the following effects: Increases the number of Tangled Hooks in the environment by +1. Increases the number of Tangled Generators in the environment by +1. Grants bonus Bloodpoints for hooking Survivors for the first time onto a Tangled Hook. Grants bonus Bloodpoints for repairing a Tangled Generator. The bonus Bloodpoints are applied during the Trial. Cursed Seed was only available during the The Midnight Grove 2021 Halloween Event. "The seed crackles as if what is within is attempting to burst free."

Log-in Reward

The Event is accompanied by a one-time Log-in Reward of 666,666 Bloodpoints during the Event period.

Event Tome

The Midnight Grove Event is the first Event to be accompanied with a special event-themed Tome, that is separate from the regular Tome, but also grants progress in The Rift.
Completing its Challenges rewards Players with special Cosmetics, as well as unique Lore entries written by Mikaela Reid herself.
