Description
HALLOWEEN® is a Chapter for Dead by Daylight, where you'll witness the purest form of evil. Where pain is the beginning and death is the end. You'll get to meet Michael Myers himself. Together with Laurie Strode, you'll either fight for survival or slaughter in their old hometown, Haddonfield.
THE MASKS WE WEAR... A white mask that stalks the night. A simple babysitter who wouldn't hurt a fly, a town that felt safe as they went to sleep with unlocked doors. Whatever happened that dark Halloween Night?
Killer: The Shape
The Shape's Info
A familiar face
We all hide behind masks. Some more than others, and for Michael Myers, this is more true than ever. If there is any humanity left inside him, it is hidden behind his mask. All his screaming victims see are lifeless eyes as he robs them of their lives.
The Shape's Power
"The darkness inside feeds his determination to take the life of his prey."
SPECIAL ABILITY: EVIL WITHIN
Evil Within is a tiered Power and requires Evil drained from Survivors in order to tier it up.
Evil Within I has the following permanent effects until a tier-up:
- Grants the Undetectable Status Effect.
- Reduces the Movement speed to 4.4 m/s.
- Reduces the range of the Lunge Attack.
- This is achieved by reducing its open time to 0.2 seconds.
- Provides the default Vaulting time of 1.7 seconds.
Evil Within II has the following permanent effects until a tier-up:
- Reduces the Terror Radius
to 16 metres.
- Provides the default Movement speed of 4.6 m/s.
- Provides the default range of the Lunge Attack.
- This is achieved by setting its open time to 0.5 seconds.
- Reduces the Vaulting time to 1.48 seconds.
Evil Within III has the following effects for 60 seconds, after which it automatically regresses back to Evil Within II:
- Causes all Survivors to suffer from the Exposed Status Effect.
- Provides the default Terror Radius of 32 metres.
- Increases the range of the Lunge Attack.
- This is achieved by increasing its open time to 0.6 seconds.
- Reduces the Vaulting time to 1.275 seconds.
SPECIAL ABILITY: STALKING
Press and hold the Power button to start Stalking:
- Reduces the Walking speed to 20 % of the default speed during Active Stalking.
- Reduces the Walking speed to 60 % of the default speed during Passive Stalking.
- Highlights the outline of Survivors within a range of 2.5 to 39.85 metres of The Shape.
- The colour of their highlight indicates the amount of evil left to drain from them, ranging from white (full) to red (drained).
Stalking drains Evil from whichever highlighted Survivor is in closest proximity to The Shape and fills the Power Gauge.
The closer a Survivor is to The Shape the slower the Evil is drained from them, down to a lower limit of 60 % of the default rate.
The Shape's Perks
Obsessive Behaviour
Michael Myers is a disturbed being with a mind only focused on one thing, killing. He is beyond help, and the only thing that can sooth his mind - for a while - is to kill. His power is called EVIL WITHIN, and as he stalks his prey, he starts to obsess, thus tagging a Survivor as an Obsession. This in turn, changes the chances of survival radically. Michael Myers also comes with 3 new Perks, all based around Obsession.
Dying Light | Each time you hook a Survivor other than your Obsession![]() ![]() ![]()
You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. "This isn't a man..." — Dr Sam Loomis | |
---|---|---|
Play with Your Food | Each time you chase your Obsession![]() ![]() ![]()
Performing Basic Attacks, or Special Attacks that can damage Survivors, consumes -1 Token. Play with Your Food has a cool-down of 10 seconds on Token-accumulation. You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. "You've fooled them, haven't you Michael? But not me." — Dr Sam Loomis | |
Save the Best for Last | Damaging any Survivor other than the Obsession![]() ![]() ![]() Damaging the Obsession with either a Basic or Special Attack causes Save the Best for Last to lose -2 Tokens:
Save the Best for Last freezes its current Token Count once the Obsession is sacrificed or killed. "Death has come to your little town, Sheriff." — Dr Sam Loomis |
Survivor: Laurie Strode
- Main article: Laurie Strode
Laurie's Info
The babysitter
Laurie Strode's suburban way of life was simple, even boring from time to time. Sunday night dinners. Game shows on TV. She filled her days with school, earning a few bucks babysitting the neighbour's kids and seeing friends. Her life and name would never had made the headlines or earned it's spot in the town's history, if it weren't for that one fateful night.
Laurie's Perks
Escape - Again And Again.
Laurie has done this before. Escaping and surviving, over and over again. Her perks are focused around becoming the Killer's Obsessions. Laurie is a survivor by heart and will never give up. Laurie Strode comes with 3 new Perks, emphasizing on Obsession and survival.
Decisive Strike | Using whatever is at hand, you stab your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike activates for the next 40/50/60 seconds:
![]() ![]() ![]() Decisive Strike is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after use. Decisive Strike is deactivated prematurely when performing a Conspicuous Action and remains disabled for the remainder of the Trial. Increases your chance of becoming the initial Obsession by increasing the default value by +100 %. "There is nothing to be scared of." — Laurie Strode | |
---|---|---|
Object of Obsession | A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
Whenever the Killer reads your Aura
![]() ![]() ![]()
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. "He was watching me!" — Laurie Strode | |
Sole Survivor | As more of your friends fall to the Killer, you become shrouded in isolation and the Killer's Aura-reading abilities towards you are disrupted.
Each time a Survivor other than yourself is killed or sacrificed, Sole Survivor gains 1 Token, up to a maximum of 3 Tokens:
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time. "It was the boogeyman." — Laurie Strode |
