The Decimated Borgo is one of 21 Realms within Dead by Daylight
.
It was implemented into the Game alongside the release of CHAPTER 26: Forged in Fog on 22 November 2022.
Overview
The Realm consists of 2 Maps and is set in a medieval theme.
Its prominent colour-palette was originally a reddish-orange with a dark-green skybox.
The former has since been updated to a more colour-blind-friendly faded jade with the addition of Forgotten Ruins.
Lore
The Shattered Square
This once peaceful haven was left ravaged by The Knight and his followers. The cinders still burn, a reminder of unwavering brutality.
Forgotten Ruins
A new Map comes to the world of Dead by Daylight, found in The Decimated Borgo Realm. A tower standing tall alone, but what is above ground hides a new world underground. A prison area where Vittorio Toscano was thrown in for some time. On the other side of the dungeon, the Alchemist room is found, where a scholar can learn secrets of the world, or the dimensions that surround the universe of the Entity.

Patch 8.0.0
- Addition: added a second Map: Forgotten Ruins
- Quality of Life: adjusted the main colour-palette from reddish-orange to a faded jade.
- This change was motivated by Community Feedback highlighting an issue with the original colour-palette making it difficult to discern blood-themed Gameplay elements from the environment (e.g. Scratch Marks, Pools of Blood, Auras), especially for colour-blind Players.
Patch 9.2.0
- Quality of Life: updated the Pallet Density of this Realm, alongside several others.
- This update adjusted the quantity and distribution of Pallets, reducing the presence of so-called "Dead Zones".
- It also updated all Realms to draw from the same pool of available Maze Tile Layouts.
