  • Reduces the audible range of all noises related to the Repair interaction by -8 metres.

  • Suppresses the explosion of the Generator and the Loud Noise Notification usually triggered by that.

  • Increases the Progression penalty incurred when failing a Skill Check by 3/4/5 %.
  • Suppresses the explosion of the Generator and the Loud Noise Notification usually triggered by that.

Patch 2.5.0

  • Buff: modified the effect of reducing the audible range of Repair noises from a variable 0/4/8 metres to a fixed -8 metres across all Tiers.

Patch 4.3.0

  • Buff: increased the effect of suppressing an explosion on Failed Repair Skill Checks from a variable chance of 30/40/50 % to a fixed chance of 100 % across all Tiers.
  • Nerf: added a penalty which increases the default Progression penalty incurred by Failed Repair Skill Checks.

  • Technician only applies its effects to the Perk user.
  • The default range of Repair noises is 20 metres.
  • Technician adds its Progression penalty to all failed Skill Checks, including special ones triggered by Perks such as OverchargeIconPerks overcharge.pngIconPerks overcharge.pngIconPerks overcharge.png.
  • When playing against The NightmareIconHelpLoading nightmare.pngIconHelpLoading nightmare.pngIconHelpLoading nightmare.png, suppressed explosions will still wake Asleep Survivors trapped in the Dream World.
