Eyes
Is there an explanation in the lore for why Caleb has glowing white eyes? He has no supernatural powers and there's no mention of him dying in his origin, so he's not undead, or is he? Gilgamesh de Uruk (talk) 09:45, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not officially, but there is a well-established theory based on some older DbD Lore that even BHVR know about and referenced in the past, but neither confirmed nor denied. Not all Killers serve The Entity willingly, some had to be coerced and outright tortured (The Trapper, for example, which is why he has hooks buried in his flesh). Others, The Entity tricks instead, making them think that they are not actually hunting down the Survivors, but all the people that wronged them in their past life before they were taken. Caleb does not see the Survivors, he sees Bayshore and his cronies, Spirit sees her father, and Wraith sees Azarov. The Entity tricks them into seeing those people so that they willingly hunt the Survivors down, which they otherwise wouldn't do, and the theory suggests that that is why their eyes glow white and do not have a visible iris (never mind Caleb's release trailer, that was a one-off).
