History
Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability:
The Auras of damaged Generators are highlighted based on their current state:
- White Aura: The Generator is currently regressing.
- Yellow Aura: The Generator stopped regressing due to Survivor-intervention.
- This effect lasts for 8/12/16 seconds, after which the Generator Aura returns to its default colour.
While Survivors are repairing
Generators, they suffer from the following effect:
- Increases the audible range of all noises related to the Repair interaction by +8 metres.

- The Auras of the last 1/2/3 regressing Generator(s) is/are highlighted to you in white for 16 seconds.
Change Log
- Rework: made the Perk more useful by making its primary effect last longer and adding secondary effects that provide additional information to the Killer and penalties to the Survivors.
- Buff: now permanently highlights the Auras of all regressing Generators in the environment in white.
- Buff: now highlights the Auras of Generators that were stopped from regressing by Survivors in yellow.
- Buff: now increases the audible range of Repair noises.
- Indirect Nerf: Generators regressing back to 0 %, which causes them to stop regressing without Survivor-intervention, now also trigger the secondary effect.
- This change was an unfortunate side-effect of the standardisation to both Generator Terminology and to the underlying mechanics of effects that affect Generators in the same Patch.
- Quality of Life: Generators stopping to regress at 0 % no longer trigger the secondary effect, making Survivor-intervention its exclusive trigger.
Trivia
- The default audible range of Repair noises is 20 metres.
- Surveillance does not require a Generator to be manually damaged by the Killer to activate.
