History
Change Log

- Buff: reduced the Healing timer from 34/32/30 seconds to 28/24/20 seconds.
Patch 5.3.0
- Retired: with the departure of CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things from Dead by Daylight, Second Wind was reworked into a General Survivor Perk: Renewal
.
- Removed the Lore text in the beginning of the description to be more generic.
- This change also replaced the original icon, which showed Steve, with a new one that showed a generic woman.
- For Players who had owned CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things before its removal, Renewal would still show the original icon with Steve, the flavour text in the description, and the Character association with Steve.
Patch 7.3.3
- Reinstation: reinstated Second Wind with the return of CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things.
- Renamed Renewal back to Second Wind and replaced the altered icon with its original one.
- Re-added the Lore text of Second Wind.
Patch 7.4.0
- Change: Second Wind is now once again a Unique Perk.
Trivia
- During development, Second Wind was originally called Push Through It.
- Although Vigil
will remove the Broken Status Effect faster than the default timer, it does not affect the speed of the self-heal granted by Second Wind.
- Second Wind requires that its user fully heals the other Survivor, if they intend to activate the Perk.
- Sharing the Healing action with a second Survivor, which splits the input Charges between the two Healers, will thus not suffice to activate the Perk with a single Healing action.
- Second Wind will display how far along the Healing process is by means of a red indicator on top of the Perk's icon in the HUD.
- Second Wind does not gain any progress towards its activation from self-heals.
