Prestige The Artist to Prestige 1, 2, 3 respectively to unlock Tier I, Tier II, Tier III of Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance for all other Characters.
History
Overwhelming pain reverberates outwards.
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
- The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Start the Trial with 4 Token.
Whenever a Survivor is hooked onto a Scourge Hook for the first time, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance consumes -1 Token and applies the following effects:
- Causes the Generator with the most progression to explode, damaging it.
- Instantly regresses the damaged Generator by 10/15/20 % of its total Progression.
- Causes the damaged Generator to start regressing afterwards.
- Causes all Survivors repairing the damaged Generator to scream.
- This does not trigger a Loud Noise Notification.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is disabled for the remainder of the Trial once all Tokens are consumed.

Change Log
- Nerf: no longer causes the targeted Generator to explode, causing repairing Survivors to no longer be interrupted, scream, and reveal their location to the Killer.
- This nerf was motivated by the Developers no longer wishing for the Perk to reveal the repairing Survivors' locations, giving the Killer intel on whether the Generator was being worked on or not.
- Partial Reversal: partially reverted the previous nerf, once again causing the Perk to explode the targeted Generator, which in turn once again interrupts the repairing Survivors and causes them to scream, but suppresses the Loud Noise Notification that usually accompanies the latter.
- This change allowed the Developers to keep the main intention of the previous nerf while removing an unintended side-effect of not interrupting Survivors.
The latter had allowed for some unfortunate situations in which the presence of Merciless Storm
could cause repairing Survivors to face up to 40 of its Skill Checks.
- Rework: reworked the Perk's Activation condition to be based on Tokens, to reduce the number of possible activations, but greatly increased the Regression penalty in exchange.
- Buff: increased the Regression penalty from 9/12/15 % to 15/20/25 %.
- Nerf: now only triggers when a Survivor is hooked onto a Scourge Hook for the first time, which consumes a Token and caps it at one activation per Survivor at the most.
- Change: no longer triggers a Loud Noise Notification on the exploding Generator itself, if no actual Progression is lost (i.e. when it is blocked or has reached the limit of possible Regression Events).
- Nerf: reduced the Regression penalty from 15/20/25 % to 10/15/20 %.
