Change Log

Patch 9.1.0

  • Rework: now increases the maximum range of the Map, instead of granting it the ability to track Killer Belongings.
  • Change: renamed the Add-on from Red Twine to Battered Tape and updated its icon and the introductory flavour text.
  • Change: upped the Rarity from Uncommon to Rare.

Old Effect: Killer Belongings

When this Add-on was known as Red Twine (before Patch 9.1.0), it would allow the Map to track so-called Killer Belongings.

Originally, that term referred to just the HooksIconHelpLoading hook.pngIconHelpLoading hook.pngIconHelpLoading hook.png and, if the Killer was The Trapper, to Bear TrapsIconPowers trap.pngIconPowers trap.pngIconPowers trap.png.
Over time, with more and more Killers entering the Fog and bringing new Props into the Trials, most of those objects would also be tracked as a Killer Belonging, though not all.

As it was never quite clear which objects would be trackable and which ones would not, the Wiki maintained the following two lists:

Trackable Objects

Non-Trackable Objects

Trivia

  • As revealed by the file of its icon, Red Twine was originally called Red Rope.
