Quests

Quests are a set of task-based Challenges in Dead by Daylight that all Players automatically participate in while playing ranked Trials.
They were introduced in Patch 8.7.0 and replaced the Tomes and the Daily Rituals.

Overview

There are 4 types of Quests:

• Rift Pass Quests
• Milestone Quests
• Daily Quests
• Event Quests
  • 2v8 Quests

Rift Pass Quests

The Rift Pass Quests accompany the current Rift Pass and are available for 12 weeks.

Each week unlocks a new set of Quests that Players can complete, with the Quests from previous weeks remaining available throughout the entire duration of the Rift Pass.

Rewards

Completing Rift Pass Quests awards Players with a combination of Rift Fragments and either Bloodpoints or Iridescent Shards.

Additionally, completing the Rift Pass Completion Quests unlocks up to 4 Cosmetics Rewards (e.g. Badges, Banners, or Charms), akin to previously reaching the Epilogue Node of a Tome Level in the Tomes.

Completion Quests

• Quest 1: complete 12 Rift Pass Quests.
• Quest 2: complete 24 Rift Pass Quests.
• Quest 3: complete 36 Rift Pass Quests.
• Quest 4: complete 48 Rift Pass Quests.

Weekly Rewards

• Option 1: 10,000 BP + 75 RF
• Option 2: 10 IS + 75 RF

Milestone Quests

The Milestone Quests also accompany the current Rift Pass and are available for 12 weeks.

Each Milestone Quest has a unique task associated with it and consists of 10 steps, starting at Step 1.

Completing a Milestone Quest updates it to the next step, raising the completion requirement, but also the currency rewards.

Tasks

Milestone Quests consist of the following tasks:

Shared	Complete a number of Trials.

Rewards

Completing Milestone Quests awards Players with a combination of Rift Fragments and Bloodpoints.

The awarded amount is proportional to a Milestone Quest's current step:

Daily Quests

The Daily Quests are a set of 3 Quests that refresh on a daily basis, akin to the Daily Rituals they replaced.

Rewards

Like Rift Pass Quests, completing Daily Quests awards Players with a combination of Rift Fragments and either Bloodpoints or Iridescent Shards.

Event Quests

The Event Quests accompany the current in-game Event, if applicable, and are available throughout it.

Their behaviour is analogous to the Rift Pass Quests, including the possible rewards (with the exception of Iridescent Shards, which are never a possible reward), and come in three sets or parts, which unlock over the course of the Event.

Rewards

Completing Event Quests awards Players with a combination of Rift Fragments and either Bloodpoints.

Additionally, completing the Event Completion Quests unlocks up to 3 Cosmetics Rewards (e.g. Badges, Banners, or Charms).

• Quest 1: complete 4 Event Quests.
• Quest 2: complete 8 Event Quests.
• Quest 3: complete 12 Event Quests.

Part Rewards

• 10,000 BP + 50 RF

Trivia

• The icon representing Quests pays tribute to the Daily Rituals it replaced, incorporating the latter's depiction of three candles.
• The first set of Event Quests introduced with the new system were the 2v8 Quests in May 2025 accompanying Game Mode: 2v8 - Ghost Face (V4).
