Change Log

Patch 3.0.0

  • Buff: modified the Progression penalty from a variable 15/20/25 % to a fixed -25 % across all Tiers.
  • Buff: modified the Activation timer from a fixed 30 seconds to a variable 40/50/60 seconds.

Patch 4.3.0

  • Nerf: reduced the Activation timer from 40/50/60 seconds to 35/40/45 seconds.

Patch 6.1.0

  • Nerf: reduced the Progression penalty from -25 % to -20 %.
    • This change compensates for the Damage Generator action now applying a small Progression penalty of -2.5 % by default.
  • Nerf: modified the Progression penalty to now be based on the Generator's current Progression, rather than its total possible Progression.
    • This change intended to reduce the potency of the Perk on Generators with little Progression and to reward using the Perks on Generators close to completion.

Patch 7.0.0

  • Buff: increased the Progression penalty from -20 % to -30 %.

Patch 8.0.0

  • Reversal: reverted the Progression penalty back from -30 % to -20 %.


Calculation

  • Parameters:
    • Progression level: 60 Charges
    • Default Progression penalty: -5 % of the total
    • Pop Goes the Weasel Progression penalty: -20 % of the current
  • Example:
    • Default penalty:
      'Total Progression' * 'Penalty converted to decimal' = 90 Charges * 0.05 = 4.5 Charges
    • Remaining Current Progression after default penalty:
      60 Charges - 4.5 Charges = 55.5 Charges
    • Pop Goes the Weasel penalty:
      'Remaining Current Progression' * 'Penalty converted to decimal' = 55.5 Charges * 0.2 = 11.1 Charges
    • Remaining Current Progression after Pop Goes the Weasel penalty:
      55.5 Charges - 11.1 Charges = 44.4 Charges


Trivia

  • Pop Goes the Weasel calculates its penalty based on the amount of Charges a Generator has left after the default Progression penalty is applied from damaging it (see Calculation Example).
    • It should be noted that each instance of using Pop Goes the Weasel on a Generator only adds +1 towards its Regression Events counter, since the previous point is only relevant for how the Perk calculates its Penalty.
