Patch 1.3.0

• Buff: now increases the chance of finding rarer Items in Chests by 14/24/46 %.
• Nerf: reduced the Aura-reveal distances from 16/32/64 metres to 16/24/32 metres.

Patch 2.6.0

• Intended Buff: intended to modify the secondary effect from a variable 14/24/46 % to a fixed 46 % across all Tiers.
  • However, this change was never applied to the Perk's code, despite the in-game description having been adjusted, resulting in the Perk continuing to apply its secondary effect based on its current Tier for years, until Patch 8.4.0 finally corrected it.

Patch 3.3.0

• Buff: added the ability to read the Aura of dropped Items.
• Quality of Life: now only reveals the Aura of unopened Chests to reduce visual clutter.

Patch 8.4.0

• Buff: doubled the Aura-reveal distances from 16/24/32 metres to 32/48/64 metres.
• Buff: modified and buffed the secondary effect from a variable 14/24/46 % to a fixed 50 % across all Tiers.

Trivia

• The flavour text is a direct reference to "Pizza Delivery" (Season 1, Episode 5A) of Nickelodeon's Spongebob Squarepants, in which Spongebob states: "The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles", after encountering a boulder in the middle of nowhere.
• Contrary to popular belief, Plunderer's Instinct does not interact with the Luck mechanic.
