Change Log

Hotfix 1.2.1d

  • Nerf: decreased the Movement Speed bonus to 3/4/5 % per Token.
  • Nerf: added a cool-down timer to Token-accumulation.

Patch 3.7.0

  • Change: updated the Perk's description to specify the types of Attack instead of just referring to them as "offensive actions".

Token Acquisition

  • Tokens are acquired whenever the Killer's ObsessionIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.png escapes a Chase and the Chase Score Event triggers for the Killer.
Due to the current functionality of the Chase mechanic, attempting to force an escape can feel unsatisfactory and sluggish.
    • Strategies such as either intentionally standing still and turning one's back on the Obsession for a total of 8 seconds or going further than 18 meters from the Obsession can accelerate the Token Acquisition, but are unreliable in doing so.
    • If the WraithIconHelpLoading wraith.pngIconHelpLoading wraith.pngIconHelpLoading wraith.png cloaks himself with the Wailing BellIconPowers bell.pngIconPowers bell.pngIconPowers bell.png ability, the Chase will immediately end and a Token is awarded.

It has occurred in the past that Attack conditions changed without mention in-between Patches, multiple times even.
The list below should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.

Trivia

  • Play with Your Food, while not specifically mentioning it, increases all types of Movement speed of the Killer, not just their Walking speed.
    • Any time a Killer is not moving at their default Walking speed, Play with Your Food will still apply its bonus towards that, this includes Power-use states, Carrying, Crouching, Stalking, Cool-down states, Wind-up/Charge states, etc.
  • Play with Your Food is often abbreviated as the initialism "PWYF".
  • Play with Your Food generally does not deplete Tokens on Attacks that are inherently unable to damage Survivors when they hit.

Killer Power Trivia

  • As The CannibalIconHelpLoading cannibal.pngIconHelpLoading cannibal.pngIconHelpLoading cannibal.png: each individual usage of a Charge during the Chainsaw Sweep is considered a separate attack and will deplete a Token each.
  • As The TwinsIconHelpLoading twins.pngIconHelpLoading twins.pngIconHelpLoading twins.png: Victor is not considered as a Killer-entity by Play with Your Food, but rather a Power attack.
    • This makes it possible to gain Tokens by switching back-and-forth between Charlotte and Victor, which breaks the Chase on the Obsession.
    • Despite seeing the HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect on his HUD, Victor does not benefit from the Movement Speed bonus and will deplete Tokens when pouncing.
  • As The TricksterIconHelpLoading trickster.pngIconHelpLoading trickster.pngIconHelpLoading trickster.png: each thrown Blade is considered a separate attack and will deplete a Token each.
  • As The Dark LordKillerDracula.pngKillerDracula.pngKillerDracula.png: the Pounce while in Wolf Form only consumes one token, despite doing two pounces unless the first one collides with a Survivor.
