- Change: Bear Traps now feature a unique sound effect when this Add-on is equipped.
Trivia
- Padded Jaws was added with Patch 2.1.0 to remedy the fact that The Trapper did not have the standard number of 20 Add-ons yet.
- Since Patch 5.3.0, Padded Jaws changes the sound of Bear Traps snapping shut, making it softer and less metallic, as if indeed they were padded.
- Padded Jaws has considerable synergy with Save the Best for Last

- Due to trapped Survivors often not being able to free themselves before The Trapper reaches their location, the fact that the Add-on causes the trap to no longer inflict damage can allow him to hit that Survivor twice in quick succession.
