Oblivious is a Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.png that is applied exclusively to SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.png.

It was originally introduced in Patch 3.2.0 alongside the release of CHAPTER 13: Stranger Things, with The DemogorgonIconHelpLoading demogorgon.pngIconHelpLoading demogorgon.pngIconHelpLoading demogorgon.png and The NightmareIconHelpLoading nightmare.pngIconHelpLoading nightmare.pngIconHelpLoading nightmare.png having been the first Killers to use it.


Mechanic

The Oblivious Status Effect is a debuffing effect that can applied to any Survivor as soon as its activation conditions are triggered.

Survivors suffering from Oblivious are unable to perceive the Killer's Terror RadiusIconHelp terrorRadius.pngIconHelp terrorRadius.pngIconHelp terrorRadius.png and also do not hear the Heartbeat warning of the Killer's proximity.

Survivors suffering from Oblivious do not suffer from any effects that rely on Survivors being inside the Terror Radius to be applied.

During a Chase, Survivors are still able to hear the Chase Music.

Whenever you hook a Survivor, Alien Instinct activates:

  • The AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of the farthest Survivor from your current location who is in the Injured StateIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.png is revealed to you for 8 seconds.
  • Causes that Survivor to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.

Deathbound Deathbound "Those whose lives are intertwined in darkness are destined to suffer together."

Whenever a Survivor finishes healing another Survivor for the equivalent of 1 Health StateIconStatusEffects healing.pngIconStatusEffects healing.pngIconStatusEffects healing.png, Deathbound activates:

  • Causes the Healer to scream and reveal their location.
  • Causes the Healer to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect whenever they are farther than 12/8/4 metres from the other Survivor.
Deathbound deactivates after the Healer loses a Health State.
Hex: Fortune's Fool Hex: Fortune's Fool "A Hex that toys with a victim's suffering."

Each time you hook a Survivor for the first time, if there is at least one Dull TotemIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.png in the environment, Hex: Fortune's Fool activates and lights a Hex Totem:

  • Causes that Survivor to suffer permanently from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect.
  • Blocks their Hex Totem from being cleansed by any other Survivor for 90 seconds.
  • The AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of their Hex Totem is revealed to the Cursed Survivor within 24/20/16 metres.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png is cleansed or blessed.
Hex: Plaything Hex: Plaything THIS PERK WAS RETIRED (This Unlockable can no longer be obtained and stockpiles can no longer be used.
It will not return to the Game.

Whenever a Survivor blesses or cleanses a TotemIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.png, the following effects apply:

  • Causes that Survivor to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect for 35/40/45 seconds.
  • The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of all Survivors are revealed to you for 15 seconds after completing the interaction.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png is cleansed or blessed.

Hysteria Hysteria "You know how to brutalise one member of a team to cause a panic."

Whenever you injure a healthy Survivor, Hysteria triggers its effect:

  • Causes all Survivors currently in the Injured StateIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.png to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect for 30/35/40 seconds.
    • This effect also applies the Survivor triggering it.
Hysteria has a cool-down of 20 seconds.

Nemesis Nemesis "You seek retribution on those who have wronged you."

Whenever a Survivor other than your ObsessionIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.png blinds you by any means or stuns you with a PalletIconHelp pullDown.pngIconHelp pullDown.pngIconHelp pullDown.png or a LockerIconHelp lockers.pngIconHelp lockers.pngIconHelp lockers.png, Nemesis triggers its primary effect:

  • Causes that Survivor to become your current Obsession.
Whenever your Obsession switches to a different Survivor by any means, Nemesis triggers its secondary effects:
  • Causes that Survivor to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.
  • Their AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png is revealed to you for 8 seconds.
You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Weave Attunement Weave Attunement "You are so attuned to magical energies that you can sense even minor ripples around enchantments."

Whenever an ItemIconHelp items.pngIconHelp items.pngIconHelp items.png is depleted for the first time, it is automatically dropped:

  • The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of dropped Survivor Items are revealed to you, as well as the Auras of any Survivors within 12 metres of them.
    • Affected Survivors see the Aura of that Item as well.
  • Causes Survivors picking up a Survivor Item to suffer from the ObliviousIconStatusEffects oblivious.png Status Effect for 20/25/30 seconds.
