Hindered is a Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.png that can be applied to both SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.png and the KillerIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.png.


Mechanic

The Hindered Status Effect is a debuffing effect that slows a Player's Movement speed.

Most Hindered effects affect all types of locomotion unless they specifically restrict it to a select type, which is generally mentioned in the description of the Unlockable applying it.

The default strength of the effect slows Players by -3 %, but most Unlockables apply a stronger one, reducing the Movement speed considerably more.

The specific value is generally mentioned in the description of an Unlockable (though always on the Wiki).
If an in-game description does not feature a value, it is often (but not always) the default strength.

Hindered is stack-able with all other effects influencing Movement speed, including multiple instances of itself.

The thick brew is mainly composed of Yew Seeds, which give it paralytic capabilities.

They are frozen in fear as they realise they have seven days left to live.

The trapped life essence within unlocks tremendous potential in The Hag's power.
  • Permanently increases the default Movement speed by +7.5 % to 4.73 m/s.

  • Takes 100 Charges to be printed.
    • Passive printing charges at a rate of +1 c/s, but is limited to 97 Charges, requiring the final 3 Charges to be actively printed by a Survivor.
    • Active printing charges at a rate of +4 c/s while a Survivor interacts with the Supply Case.
  • Takes 2.5 seconds to charge.
  • Incurs a -10 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.pngIconStatusEffects hindered.pngIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect while charging and holding.
  • Has an Area of Effect of 10 metres.
  • Removes Temporal Slipstream from anyone within its Area of Effect upon detonation.
    • The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of other Slipstreamed Survivors are revealed to you in yellow when within the Area of Effect.
  • Disables all Biopods within the Area of Effect for 45 seconds upon detonation and grants immunity to Temporal Slipstream for 1 second.
Limited Items are consumed on use.
They cannot be brought back to the Campfire after a Trial and are removed by The EntityIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.png upon exiting the Trial.

A flamethrower turret that Survivors can retrieve from Control Stations and placed in the environment.

  • Tracks the presence of The XenomorphIconHelpLoading xenomorph.pngIconHelpLoading xenomorph.pngIconHelpLoading xenomorph.png within 41 metres of its location.
    • This ability is briefly disabled whenever The Xenomorph exits the Tunnels.
  • Grants immunity from Detection by The Xenomorph when it is inside the Tunnels while carrying the Turret.
  • Survivors suffer from a -35 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.pngIconStatusEffects hindered.pngIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect, and the ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted.pngIconStatusEffects exhausted.pngIconStatusEffects exhausted.png and IncapacitatedIconStatusEffects incapacitated.pngIconStatusEffects incapacitated.pngIconStatusEffects incapacitated.png Status Effects, while carrying the Turret.
  • The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of Survivors carrying a Turret are revealed to all other Survivors.
  • Shoots flames at a Crawler Mode The Xenomorph when within 10 metres and established Line of Sight.
    • This slows The Xenomorph and knocks it out of Crawler Mode after filling the Power gauge.
    • Overheats after doing so or when firing consecutively for 4 seconds.
    • Overheated Turrets can be repaired and reactivated by Survivors.
    • Multiple Turrets firing simultaneously do not stack their damage output.
  • Dropping a Turret on the ground instead of deploying it destroys it after 30 seconds, unless at least one Survivor remains within 6 metres of where it was dropped.
  • Can be destroyed by an attack from The Xenomorph.
Limited Items are consumed on use.
They cannot be brought back to the Campfire after a Trial and are removed by The EntityIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.png upon exiting the Trial.

Perks

Champion of Light Champion of Light "The glow of the Flashlight looks a little different, feels a little warmer."

While shining a FlashlightIconItems flashlight.pngIconItems flashlight.pngIconItems flashlight.png, Champion of Light triggers its primary effect:

  • Grants a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
After blinding the Killer by any means, Champion of Light triggers its secondary effect:
  • Causes the Killer to suffer from a -20 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 6 seconds.
    • This effect does not stack.
Champion of Light applies a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds after blinding the Killer.

Chemical Trap Chemical Trap "In the Fog, an officer must adapt to the materials at hand."

After repairing GeneratorsIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.png for a total of 20 %, Chemical Trap activates:

  • Press the Active Ability button while near a dropped Pallet to install a Trap, which stays active for 40/50/60 seconds.
  • When the Killer breaks the Trapped Pallet, its Trap explodes, spraying the Killer with a chemical compound:
    • Causes the Killer to suffer from a -50 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 4 seconds.
Chemical Trap deactivates after triggering successfully or once the timer runs out.

The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of Trapped Pallets are revealed to all Survivors in yellow.

Forced Hesitation Forced Hesitation "You have learnt the emotional weaknesses of the organics, and how to exploit them."

Whenever a Survivor is put into the Dying StateIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.png by any means, Forced Hesitation triggers its effect:

  • Causes all other Survivors within 16 metres of them suffer from a -20 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 10 seconds.
Forced Hesitation has a cool-down of 40/35/30 seconds.

"THE ORGANIC MIND'S CAPACITY FOR EMPATHY GOES BEYOND HINDRANCE!" — HUX-A7-13

Hex: Nothing but Misery Hex: Nothing but Misery "You've been driven to the absolute depths of pain, and now you're ready to inflict that pain on others."

After damaging Survivors a total of 8 times with Basic Attacks, a random Dull TotemIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.png becomes a Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png, cursing all Survivors:

  • Survivors damaged by a Basic Attack suffer from a -5 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 10/12.5/15 seconds.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png is cleansed or blessed.

Knock Out Knock Out "The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult."

Whenever a Survivor moves farther than 6 metres from a PalletIconHelp pullDown.pngIconHelp pullDown.pngIconHelp pullDown.png within 6 seconds of dropping it, Knock Out triggers its effect:

  • Causes them to suffer from a -5 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 3/4/5 seconds.

Vigil Vigil You look over your friends even in dire situations.

Vigil extends its effect to all Survivors within 16 metres of your location and lingers for 15 seconds.
