Hex: Face the Darkness is a Unique Perk belonging to The Knight
.
Prestige The Knight to Prestige 1, 2, 3 respectively to unlock Tier I, Tier II, Tier III of Hex: Face the Darkness for all other Characters.
Description
You make an example of one of your victims, forcing their allies to become awed by your power.
Whenever you injure a Survivor by any means, if there is still a Dull Totem remaining on the Map, Hex: Face the Darkness activates and lights it, cursing that Survivor:
- Causes all other Survivors to scream every 35/30/25 seconds, if they are outside of the Terror Radius
, revealing their Auras
for 2 seconds each time.
Hex: Face the Darkness deactivates once the Cursed Survivor either enters the Dying State or is fully healed, which extinguishes the Totem.
Hex: Face the Darkness is disabled for the remainder of the Trial, if a Survivor manages to cleanse its Hex Totem.

Change Log
Patch 6.6.0
- Change: modified the behaviour of the triggered Survivor screams to be consistent across all Unlockables:
- Survivor screams are now 3D with a maximum audible range of 19 metres (used to be a map-wide 2D scream).
- Triggers a Loud Noise Notification.
Patch 6.6.2
- Reversal: reverted the behaviour of Survivor screams to their original functionality.
- The reversal was motivated by the community's negative response to the range limit, which caused the Perks to end up weaker than before.
Trivia
- Pairing Hex: Face the Darkness with Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
with 5 Tokens remaining makes cleansing either respective Totem impossible while outside the Killer's Terror Radius
