Haste is a Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.png that can be applied to both SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.png and the KillerIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.png.


Mechanic

The Haste Status Effect is a buffing effect that boosts a Player's Movement speed.

Most Haste effects affect all types of regular locomotion (i.e. whenever the Killer is walking), unless they specifically restrict it to a select type, which is generally mentioned in the description of the Unlockable applying it.

Types of locomotion that are generally not affected by Haste include forms of non-instant teleportation (e.g. traversing the Upside Down as DemogorgonIconHelpLoading demogorgon.pngIconHelpLoading demogorgon.pngIconHelpLoading demogorgon.png, using The Gloaming as The DredgeIconHelpLoading dredge.pngIconHelpLoading dredge.pngIconHelpLoading dredge.png, or teleporting in Bat Form as The Dark LordKillerDracula.pngKillerDracula.pngKillerDracula.png).

The strength of the effect depends on the specific Unlockable and can be stacked when applied from multiple Haste sources.

  • Transferring Void Energy into Unstable Rifts
    • +5 % (75 % chance)
    • +10 % (25 % chance)

Both effects last until the Fire Axe is removed or the distance between you and that Survivor exceeds 32 metres.

STOCKPILES MAY STILL BE USED IN TRIALS

A refined version of the Putrid Serum that is mostly safe for human consumption.
Mostly.

  • Press the Secondary Action button while healing yourself or another Survivor with a Med-Kit to use the Refined Serum to boost the Movement speed of the affected Survivor by +5 % for 16 seconds.
  • Creates a Blight trail behind the affected Survivor.
Refined Serum consumes the Med-Kit on use.

The Refined Serum is only available during Halloween Events.

Perks

Adrenaline Adrenaline You are fuelled by unexpecting energy when on the verge of escape.

Babysitter Babysitter "While you have a reputation for being self-centred, you risk it all to help those in need."

Whenever you unhook a Survivor, you benefit from the following effect:

  • The AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of the Killer is revealed to you for 8 seconds.
The unhooked Survivor benefits from the following effects instead for 20/25/30 seconds: "I promised to keep you shitheads safe, and that's exactly what I plan on doing." — Steve Harrington
Balanced Landing Balanced Landing Your agility and cat-like relexes are incomparable.

After falling from a height, you benefit from the following effects:

  • Reduces the duration of the Stagger upon landing by -75 %.
  • Suppresses all noises related to falling from height.
  • Grants a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 3 seconds upon landing.
Balanced Landing causes the ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted.pngIconStatusEffects exhausted.pngIconStatusEffects exhausted.png Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Balanced Landing cannot be used when Exhausted.

    • This effect lingers for 1/3/5 second(s).

Blood Pact Blood Pact It is as if a latent part of yourself has awakened.
You feel like you can reach out beyond yourself for assistance.

When either you or the ObsessionIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.png become injured by any means, Blood Pact activates:

  • Your AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png are constantly revealed to one another.
  • Completing a Healing Action on the Obsession or having them complete one on yourself, grants both of you a 5/6/7 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
    • This effect lasts for as long as you both remain within 16 metres of one another.
Blood Pact is temporarily disabled if you yourself are the Obsession.

Reduces your chance of becoming the initial Obsession by reducing the default value by -100 %.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Boon: Dark Theory Boon: Dark Theory "Your obsessive study of the paranormal has given you unprecedented knowledge of other Realms and planes of existence."

Press and hold the Active Ability button on a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon TotemAtl Hud Icon BoonTotem.pngAtl Hud Icon BoonTotem.pngAtl Hud Icon BoonTotem.png.
Soft chimes ring out in a radius of 24 metres.

All Survivors benefit from the following effects when inside the Boon Totem's radius:

  • Grants a +3 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
    • This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range.
Only one Totem can be blessed by your Boon Perks at a time and all of their effects are active on the same Boon Totem.
Borrowed Time Borrowed Time You are fuelled with an unexpected energy when saving an ally from a Hook.

The Survivors you unhook benefit from the following effects:

  • Extends the duration of their EnduranceIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor.pngIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor.pngIconStatusEffects enduranceSurvivor.png Status Effect by 6/8/10 seconds.
  • Extends the duration of their HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect by 10 seconds.

Breakout Breakout "You kick into high gear when someone is in trouble, inspiring them to overcome any obstacle."

While within 5 metres of the Killer carrying another Survivor, the following effects apply:

  • Grants you a 6/8/10 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
  • Increases the Wiggling speed of the carried Survivor by +25 %.
Survivors can only be affected by one instance of Breakout at a time.

Buckle Up Buckle Up Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.

When healing a Survivor in the Dying StateIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.png, Buckle Up activates:

  • The AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of the Killer is revealed to the both of you.
  • Completing a Healing Action on the dying Survivor suppresses their Scratch MarksIconHelp scratchMarks.pngIconHelp scratchMarks.pngIconHelp scratchMarks.png and grants them a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 3/4/5 seconds.

While shining a FlashlightIconItems flashlight.pngIconItems flashlight.pngIconItems flashlight.png, Champion of Light triggers its primary effect:

  • Grants a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
After blinding the Killer by any means, Champion of Light triggers its secondary effect:
  • Causes the Killer to suffer from a -20 % HinderedIconStatusEffects hindered.png Status Effect for 6 seconds.
    • This effect does not stack.
Champion of Light applies a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds after blinding the Killer.

Dramaturgy Dramaturgy When people bring you on to their project, they do so because of the unexpected magic you bring to your performance.

Whenever you are HealthyIconHelp healthy.pngIconHelp healthy.pngIconHelp healthy.png, Dramaturgy activates:

  • While running, press the Active Ability button to run with knees high for 0.5 seconds to gain a +25 HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 2 seconds, followed by one of the following effects:
    • Suffer from the ExposedIconStatusEffects exposed.png Status Effect for 12 seconds.
    • Extend the duration of the Haste Status Effect by another 2 seconds.
    • Scream, but without notifying the Killer.
    • Receive a random ItemIconHelp items.pngIconHelp items.pngIconHelp items.png of Rare Rarity, with a random selection of Add-onsIconHelp addons.pngIconHelp addons.pngIconHelp addons.png attached to it, automatically dropping any previously held Item.
  • The same effect cannot happen twice in a row.
Dramaturgy causes the ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted.png Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Dramaturgy cannot be used when Exhausted.

  • Causes the Obsession status to transfer to the Rescuer.

Whenever you hit the Survivor with currently the highest cumulative Chase time with a Basic Attack, Game Afoot triggers its primary effect:

  • Causes the Obsession status to transfer to that Survivor.
While chasing the ObsessionIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.png, performing the Break or Damage action causes Game Afoot to trigger its secondary effect:
  • Grants a +7 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 8/9/10 seconds.
You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

The false hope of Survivors ignites your hunger.

Whenever a Survivor is rescued from a HookIconHelpLoading hook.pngIconHelpLoading hook.pngIconHelpLoading hook.png while you are at least 24 metres away, Hex: Devour Hope is granted +1 Token, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens:

  • 2 Tokens: Grants a 3/4/5 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 10 seconds after 10 seconds of having hooked a Survivor.
  • 3 Tokens: Causes all Survivors to suffer from a permanent ExposedIconStatusEffects exposed.pngIconStatusEffects exposed.pngIconStatusEffects exposed.png Status Effect.
  • 5 Tokens: Grants the ability to kill all Survivors by your own hand.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png is cleansed or blessed.

Hex: No One Escapes Death Hex: No One Escapes Death A Hex rooting its power on hope.
You are animated by the power of your Hex Totem when the Survivors are on the verge of escaping.

Once the Exit GatesIconHelp exitGates.pngIconHelp exitGates.pngIconHelp exitGates.png are powered, if there is still a Dull TotemIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.pngIconHelpLoading totem.png remaining in the environment, Hex: No One Escapes Death activates and lights it:

  • Grants a 2/3/4 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.
  • Causes all Survivors to suffer from the ExposedIconStatusEffects exposed.png Status Effect.
Once the Status Effect is revealed to Survivors, Hex: No One Escapes Death triggers the following effect:
  • The Aura of its Hex Totem is revealed to all Survivors within 4 metres.
    • This range gradually expands to 24 metres over the course of 30 seconds.
Hex: No One Escapes Death remains inactive if no Dull Totems are available.

All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex TotemIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.pngIconStatusEffects cursed.png is cleansed or blessed.

Hope Hope The growing odds of a successful escape fill you with hope and give you wings.

  • Grants a permanent 5/6/7 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect.

Lithe Lithe Whenever you perform a Rushed Vault action, Lithe triggers its effect:
  • Grants a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 3 seconds.

Lithe causes the ExhaustedIconStatusEffects exhausted.png Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Lithe cannot be used when Exhausted.

After performing the Damage Generator action, Machine Learning activates:

  • Causes that GeneratorIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.png to become a Compromised Generator.
    • Damaging another Generator transfers the state to it instead.
  • The AuraIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of the Compromised Generator is highlighted to you in yellow until it is completed.
Once the Compromised Generator is completed, you benefit from the following effects for 35/40/45 seconds: Machine Learning deactivates after use.

  • The AurasIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.pngIconHelp auras.png of all other Survivors are revealed to you.
  • Increases your Action speeds for Healing and Unhooking by 50/75/100 %.
  • Increases the strength and duration of the Haste Status Effect granted to Survivors you unhook by +10 % and +5 seconds respectively:
    • Causes them to benefit from a 20 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 15 seconds.

Play with Your Food Play with Your Food Each time you chase your ObsessionIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.pngIconHelp obsession.png and let them escape, Play with Your Food gains +1 Token, up to a maximum of 3 Tokens.
  • Grants a stack-able 3/4/5 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect per Token, up to a maximum of 9/12/15 %.

Performing Basic Attacks, or Special Attacks that can damage Survivors, consumes -1 Token.

Play with Your Food has a cool-down of 10 seconds on Token-accumulation.

You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Plot Twist Plot Twist Big moments are vital, but you know that sometimes an understated read can be just as powerful.

Whenever you are in the Injured StateIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.pngIconHelp injured.png, Plot Twist activates:

  • While crouching and motionless, press the Active Ability button to silently enter the Dying StateIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.pngIconHelp dying.png with the following benefits:
    • Suppresses Grunts of Pain.
    • Suppresses Pools of BloodIconStatusEffects bleeding.pngIconStatusEffects bleeding.pngIconStatusEffects bleeding.png.
    • Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State.
  • After full recovery using Plot Twist, you are healed instantly and gain a +50 % HasteIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.pngIconStatusEffects haste.png Status Effect for 2/3/4 seconds.
