Deafened is a semi-used Status Effect featured in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.png that can be applied to both SurvivorsIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.pngIconHelpLoading survivor.png and the KillerIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.pngIconHelpLoading killer.png.


Mechanic

The Deafened Status Effect is a debuffing effect that applies a tinnitus-like effect to affected Players, temporarily muffling all other sounds.

It is unique amongst the Status Effects, as it is not displayed on the HUD, despite several Unlockables using its effect.

Triggering a Phantasm Trap inflicts the following effect on Survivors:

  • Causes them to suffer from the DeafenedIconHelp hearing.png Status Effect for 6 seconds.

  • Detonates into loud bangs and intense light flashes, temporarily blinding and deafening nearby Players.

The Chinese Firecracker is consumed on use.

The Chinese Firecracker is only available during Lunar Events.

Limited Items are consumed on use.
They cannot be brought back to the Campfire after a Trial and are removed by The EntityIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.pngIconHelp entity.png upon exiting the Trial.
