Dead by Daylight Wiki:Groups of users

This article provides an overview of all user groups on the Dead by Daylight Wiki and their respective rights.

Unregistered Users

These are users that are not logged in to a Fandom account. Their rights are shared by all other groups, and include among others:

• Reading pages
• Customising one's own settings

Logged-in Users

Creating an account and logging into it grants more rights than unregistered users have, such as:

• Editing pages (Pages that are fully protected cannot be edited by logged-in users.)
• Creating pages
• Moving pages
• Uploading files
• E-mailing users
• Marking edits as minor
• Joining another user group

Autoconfirmed Users

Registering on Fandom with an e-mail and confirming it will automatically add users to the autoconfirmed user group. These users possess all of the rights mentioned above, plus a few extra:

• Moving certain pages
• Editing semi-protected pages (Fully protected pages cannot be edited by autoconfirmed users.)
• Exemption from IP-based rate limits

Recognised Contributors

This role is granted by Wiki Guardians to active users of the Community on an individual basis. Users that make high-quality and frequent contributions to the Wiki may be suggested or suggest themselves as candidates (if they deem themselves to fit the criteria). Candidates are voted on by the Wiki Guardians. Votes for a single candidate can only be held once. If a simple majority is achieved, the candidate in question receives the role. If suggested by themselves, the candidate will get briefed about the results of the voting process by our Mentor to Junior Wiki Guardians.

They have the same rights as an autoconfirmed user. This role is granted on our Discord server only to ease communication and give recognition to our most active contributors.

Trusted Contributors

This role is granted by Wiki Guardians to active users of the Community on an individual basis. Users that make high-quality and frequent contributions to the Wiki to an exceptional extent may be suggested by our Wiki Guardians as candidates. Candidates are voted on by the Wiki Guardians. If a simple majority is achieved, the candidate in question receives the role.

They possess all the rights of an autoconfirmed user, in addition to:

• Editing fully protected pages
• A special role on the Wiki's Discord Server

Wiki Guardians

Wiki Guardians are the administrators of the Dead by Daylight Wiki. This user group can usually be joined by getting one's Wiki Claim accepted by a Gamepedia staff member, or by promotion by the other Wiki Guardians, and cannot be granted locally. Their rights include, but are not limited to:

• Blocking users
• Protecting pages
• Deleting pages
• Editing fully protected pages
• Merging pages
• Editing the MediaWiki interface and other site-wide design tools
• Patrolling edits and having their edits automatically patrolled
• Mass deleting pages
• Moderating user profiles
• Accessing the wiki analytics page
• Accessing the font manager
• Creating wiki-wide announcements
• Creating abuse filters
• Rollbacking edits

Administrators

Administrators have the same rights as Wiki Guardians, but their promotion process is different; the administrator role can be granted to individuals by Gamepedia staff at their discretion.
