CHAPTER 38: Stranger Things Chapter 2 will be the thirty-eighth Chapter DLC for Dead by Daylight
and is scheduled to release on 27 January 2026.
This DLC will feature the following content:

- CHAPTER 38 was teased with the reveal of the Year 10 Roadmap during PAX on 9 May 2025.
- CHAPTER 38 was delayed from November 2025 to January 2026 following community feedback of the game's polish after the release of CHAPTER 36.5: The Walking Dead.
- This Chapter was eventually confirmed to be the second Chapter to the first Stranger Things DLC, when the latter randomly went on sale in the in-game store, around the time when its sequel was going to be released originally. This happened before the Chapter was properly announced.
- CHAPTER 38 marks the second time a license has received two chapters, with the first being CHAPTER 20: Resident Evil™ and CHAPTER 25: Resident Evil™: PROJECT W.
- Just like CHAPTER 25: Resident Evil™: PROJECT W it gave lobby theme and voice lines to the first chapter survivors Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler.
- Currently they are not in the PTB similarly to CHAPTER 36.5: The Walking Dead.
- Nancy Wheeler also got an update to her model just like Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield.
- The inclusion of Eleven as a survivor was accidentally teased early when DBD's Japan Twitter accidentally posted her teaser instead of the teaser for Dustin Henderson.
