Blood Moon is a recurring Spring Event in Dead by DaylightIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.pngIconHelp DBDlogo.png, celebrating the arrival of spring in the Realm of The Entity under the first Blood Moon of the year.

Blood Moon 2025 is the second iteration of the Event and started on 7 April 2025.
It will end on 29 April 2025.

Event Gameplay

The main gameplay loop is different to that of the previous year, introducing Blood Generators and Blood Pumps as new mechanics.

Community Challenge

During the Event, there is a permanent bonus modifier for Bloodpoints for both regular Trials and Event Trials with an accompanying Community Challenge.

By performing either of the following actions during Event Trials, each Player automatically participates in the Community Challenge that has all Players collectively perform them 50,000,000 times for the full reward.

Reaching certain Milestones along the way increases the modifier:

Milestone Bonus Percentage Equivalent Multiplier
0 +125 % x2.25
2,500,000 +150 % x2.5
10,000,000 +200 % x3
22,500,000 +275 % x3.75
35,000,000 +375 % x4.75
50,000,000 +500 % x6

Blood Pumps & Generators

Each Trial spawns with 4 of the 7 Generators replaced by Blood Generators.

Trials still require Survivors to complete any 5 GeneratorsIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.pngIconHelpLoading generators.png to power the Exit GatesIconHelp exitGates.pngIconHelp exitGates.pngIconHelp exitGates.png.

Blood Generators require blood, which is provided by Blood Pumps that generate in the environment and look like regular fuel pumps at a gas station.
When interacting with a Blood Pump, Survivors receive a Blood Can to carry the blood around.

Blood Pumps slowly replenish over time.

Blood Generators can be damaged by the Killer like regular Generators, causing them to regress.
Survivors can stop this by "repairing" the Blood Generator for at least 5 % of its total Progress.
Unlike regular fuelling, this action does not require the Survivor to have a Blood Can or fuel, but is slower to do that way, taking 6 seconds to complete.
